Reassessment Procedures
- Students may reassess (retake an assessment) if the following has been done:
- Make corrections to the original assessment in their binder.
- Get the original assessment signed by a parent.
- Verify that all of your work is complete and in your binder in the correct place. If you are missing work, you are ineligible for a reassessment. Use the Binder Table of Contents to make sure you have everything.
- See me to set up a day and time for your reassessment. Only ask me to reassess if when you have a better understanding of the learning target that is being measured. I am happy to help you if you need additional help or support. Reassessments are to be done during lunch, in Study Skills class or Supervised Studies class, or before/after school. Reassessments will not be done during class.
- The highest score on a reassessment is Mastery (9).
- Reassessments must be completed within two weeks.
Parents: Respectfully, I ask that you please do not email me to see if your student can be reassessed. Yes, he or she can be reassessed; however, first, I need to have a conversation with him or her first to determine readiness. It is also really important that your child self-advocates to express his or her needs. If you are struggling with this, then please contact me, and I will help.
